Painless Percy is the alter ego of British Artist Carlon Price. Born in Loughborough, England, 1946. Price studied Painting at Wimbledon School of Art followed by an MA at The Royal College of Art in Experimental Media.
“According to the laws of physics, matter cannot be described except perhaps by its qualities and actions. These are the phenomena that I explore. For me, perception takes place within the movement of the body.
Drawing is a way to understand structure and log information in the memory. Sometimes it is the easiest way to find out what is bubbling up from the subconscious.
The basis components of tone and composition have their own voice that do not disguise the drawn marks but makes their summation describe, even more fully, another spatial reality”

In the early 70’s she received major Arts Council Funding which led to a series of interactive installations in public spaces in central London, UK. She then moved to Donegal Ireland with her partner, sculptor Anthony Hedgecock. Where they rasied their two daughters Sorcha and Aisling. In Donegal her love of wild mountainous spaces were born.
Returning to the UK in 1986, she exhibited regularly across the UK, locally with a solo show the Lighthouse, Poole. She was a exhibiting member of the Newlyn Arts Society, and contributor and organiser for the early days of Dorset Arts Week. She was invited to Chair the Bournemouth Arts Weeks in 2000 and launched her Spanish Studio in 2006 where she resides with her family and dogs, Tinker and Benji. Meet the Dogs …
